Happy Tuesday! Seeing as this blog is called Sunshine and BOOKS, I decided to try out a Tuesday series.

Books are typically released or published on Tuesdays. When I was researching why this is I found that it is probably driven by the New York Times Bestseller list. They calculate the sales from Tuesday – Monday and tally it on Wednesday. So publishers want to give books the best chance to sell the most books. Another theory says that if a books is released on Tuesday and sells well, the booksellers have a chance to restock before the weekend. Both reasons make good sense to me and I always look forward to Tuesdays.

There are a few books being released today that I am looking forward to reading. Here they are:

On Ocean Boulevard by Mary Alice Monroe

I really like Mary Alice Monroe’s Beach House series. The Summer Guests took us to western North Carolina last year and I am so glad Mary Alice Monroe is taking us back to the beach this year. I didn’t love The Summer Guests as much as the other 4 books in the series, but I have high hopes for this one!!
