Happy Monday! It’s the first full week of May and I am sharing my goals.
Before we get to the May goals, I want to share the update on my April goals. I did pretty well!
Goal 1: Walk 5+ miles every day. I need most of those miles to be outside. Yes! I did it! I walked a ton outside and am pretty sure I am wearing a path in my neighborhood’s sidewalks.
Goal 2: Do one hour of yoga a week. This is a big jump from my 0 hours of yoga a week, but I think it will be good for my brain and my body to incorporate it. Nope, sure didn’t. I did three yoga workouts all month.
Goal 3: Read my magazine. I get one magazine a month, Good Housekeeping, and I love it but I never make time it read it. Yes! I did it while I dyed my hair. Perfect amount of time.
Goal 4: Read at least 1 book a week. I have so many good books on my kindle right now from NetGalley that I really need to give them my time. Yes, I read 4 books this month!
Goal 5: Look for the sunshine. By that I mean keep finding the positives that are happening all around me, even in the midst of this scary pandemic. Yes! It was definitely hard sometimes, but I kept searching for the sunshine!
Goal 1: Complete the Core Challenge on Peloton.
Strategies: set my workout schedule for the week, have the boys join me, find friends to join me (Anyone want to join me?? Peloton is free for 3 months now…)
Goal 2: Start running 2 times a week.
Strategies: set my workout schedule for the week, slowly add miles so I keep feeling good, head to the track early in the morning when it shouldn’t be busy, hop on the treadmill for a run with Netflix)
Goal 3: Read 5 books. It is Summer Beach Read season and I have so many books to read.
Strategies: keep my kindle with me all the time, keep reading when I wake up in the middle of the night, read for 20 minutes when I wake up, family reading time in the afternoon/evening
Goal 4: Start wearing earrings and/or a necklace every day.
Strategies: put earrings on as soon as I get up, organize my jewelry so the casual necklaces are on the hanger in my room
Goal 5: No shopping for fun stuff until Memorial Day because I am not going anywhere and there are plenty of comfy, cute clothes and shoes in my closet and dresser.
Strategies: unsubscribe from emails, stop and think “do you need this”, revisit my Declare It Day goals.
Goal 6: (Repeat from last month)Look for the sunshine. By that I mean keep finding the positives that are happening all around me, even in the midst of this scary pandemic.
Strategies: talk about things that went well at dinner, take some deep breaths throughout the day when things get hard, start and end each day with a positive thought or something I am thankful for, wear my jewelry reminders (Hoda’s forward ring and my Stella & Dot bracelet)
There we go! I hope when I see you here in the beginning of June I have 6 ”Yes, I did it”s! What are your goals for May? Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
