Feels Like Falling – 4/27/20 – Sunshine and Books

Happy Monday! I am so excited to share my first Summer Beach Read of 2020! We may not be on the beach, but that doesn’t mean we can’t read like we are!!

A few years ago, I was so fortunate to meet the lovely Kristy Woodson Harvey!! Don’t mind my outfit/hair/etc., we’d just run a race and went straight to the bookstore. She was just as sweet and lovely as she could be. I was so excited to meet Kristy.

She was touring for the second book in the Peachtree Bluff series, The Secret to Southern Charm. I had already read and loved the first book in the series, Slightly South of Simple. Last year I reviewed The Southern Side of Paradise, the third book in the Peachtree Bluff series. I loved that one too!

Kristy has written two other stand alone books that were also great!
Lies and Other Acts of Love and Dear Carolina are fabulous, southern family stories. I love that about Kristy! Her books take place in a beautiful southern place with strong women and families that you can’t put down.

Feels Like Falling is Kristy’s newest book and it comes out tomorrow!!

I loved it! This story about two women who’s lives become enmeshed after Gray accidentally gets Diana fired from her job at a local pharmacy. Diana down on her luck, as she often is, had just broken up with her boyfriend and moved into her car. Diana decides to find Gray and confront her.
She doesn’t know that Gray’s husband just left her or that she lost her mother to cancer. Or that Gray is looking to make a change. Feeling bad, Gray offers to have Diana move into her guest house. As they say, this is the start of a beautiful friendship. Gray and Diana realize they have more in common and become better friends than they could ever imagine.

This book gets ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ from me!! Now, comes the question of how are you going to get this book tomorrow when it comes out in the time that so many stores are closed. Well, there are a few ways.

1 – My favorite way – An independent bookstore. I’ve heard of a bunch of indie bookstores that are still accepting orders for curbside, delivery, or shipping. You could call today or tomorrow and have this amazing book in no time! Some independent bookstores also offer ebooks and audiobooks, you should look into it.

2 – ebook – You could order an ebook copy and have it instantly on Tuesday morning.

3 – Online shopping – You could order a paper copy from any of the online sellers.
