Friday Favorites – 4/17/20

Happy Friday! We made it through another week of distance learning and that is a reason to celebrate! We have good days and not so good days right now, but we are still looking for the silver linings everyday! I’m linking up with Narci and the girls to share my favorites.

Favorite 1: RUNNING!! I ended my run streak with 1200 days on Tuesday. I decided it was time to take a break. I still love running and can’t wait to get back to it in a few more days. It did feel a little weird not to run on Wednesday or Thursday. I joined the kids in Jeff’s Agility and Conditioning Clinic each afternoon and was sure to get my 5 miles walking.

Favorite 2: JELLY BEANS!! Luke had us laughing so hard when he was going through his Easter basket. He found the Nerds jelly beans and instantly asked “Did the Easter Bunny give me corona???” We reassured him that he didn’t, but it was so funny!!

Favorite 3: EASTER!! We watched mass on tv together and saw our families virtually and from a safe distance. It was definitely a different holiday, but it was still special!

Favorite 4: BOOKS!! My favorite bookstore, A Likely Story, is doing the coolest promotion!! It’s a blind book purchase! You tell them what you like and have read recently and they pick a book and a galley for you!! (Galleys are copies of books that publishers send out before books are published bookstores or reviewers to read). I did a set for myself and one for each of my boys. I haven’t given them to the boys yet. I’ll be sure to share what we got soon! You can call the store or DM them on facebook to order too! They are doing curbside pick up or delivery for local people or you can have it shipped to your house if you are further away.

Favorite 5: SUNSHINE!! Even though it was really chilly this week and we saw some snowflakes, the sun shined bright! I love this Hello Sunshine shirt and I love to see the sunshine! The boys have been playing outside all afternoon, every afternoon as long as the sun is shining.

Favorite 6: GOLF!! My guys are playing so much golf in our backyard since our courses are closed. We’ve had a golf hole in our backyard for a while. My parents gave it to Jack for his birthday one year. They got another one for Luke but decided not to give it to him. With all the golf they’re playing, I texted my mom and asked if she still had it. She did and she delivered it with masks for all of us. That was the best delivery ever – golf hole, masks, and I got to see my mom!!

Favorite 7: COACHELLA!! Jeff and I watched an interesting documentary on Coachella on YouTube recently. I knew about the concert, but it was interesting to hear how it started and evolved into the 2 weekend extravaganza it is now. Then I saw this T-shirt online this week. It made me laugh so hard!

Favorite 8: PURSES!! I am so curious about how other people do things. Some may say it is even nosy, but I’m sticking with curious. I loved the Let’s Look link up this week sharing what’s in your purse. I shared mine on Wednesday and it was so fun!

Favorite 9: BACKYARD OLYMPICS!! On Saturday afternoon, Jeff organized the backyard Olympics. We had some team events and some individual events. We played putter ball, ladder ball, bucket ball, bocce, boochie, and PIG. It was so fun to play together. Jeff ended up winning at the very end.

Favorite 10: GRATEFUL!! I found this template on an instagram story, but it was created a by @aliskor15. It is a quick way to list 3 things you are grateful for at the end of each day. I do it right before I go to bed or as soon as I wake up in the morning. I love how it keeps me focusing on the positive!

Luke’s birthday is this weekend and we are excited to celebrate him! I hope everyone is staying home and staying safe! They say we are approaching our peak here in Maryland and we are so thankful for all of the essential workers out there – healthcare, janitorial, grocery stores, delivery people. Thank you!! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Love your tote and I have the same Erin Condren notebook but mine is green with the pineapple. Erin Condren is the Best! Enjoy the sunshine! It’s getting me through things too.
