Happy Friday!! I am so ready for this weekend! I am about to finish my first 5 day work week in over a month and I’ll tell you what – 5 day weeks are for the birds! I am lining up with Narci and the girls to share my favorites so let’s get to it!

Favorite 1 – GIRL TIME!!! We have a lot of boy time in my house, but the past two weekends have been full of nothing but girl time! Last weekend, my mom, my sister, and I were in Hilton Head for Annie’s shower. We had the best time! She has the loveliest friends and it was so fun to celebrate Annie! The weather was beautiful and we soaked up all the sunshine. Mom and I made sure our Sunday was full of nothing but sun!

Favorite 2 – BOOKS!! Tuesday was a big book mail day at our house! 3 books I have been looking forward to reading were published. Sarah Pekkanan and Greer Hendricks’ new book came out – You Are Not Alone. Anne Bogel’s, of Modern Mrs. Darcy and What Should I Read Next podcast, book was published – Don’t Overthink It. The latest installment in the Wayside School Series also came out – Wayside School Under the Cloud of Doom. I was thrilled to have all 3 of these on Tuesday!!

Favorite 3 – READING!! We celebrated Read Across America week at school this week and it has been so much fun! I’ve been rocking my reading t-shirts. We dressed up as characters, good luck finding me. 😉

I also spent some time at our public library to celebrate the end of our whole school book club. Our library put together some really fun activities for Frindle and No Talking by Andrew Clements. It was great to see students exploring another library!

Favorite 4 – POOL!! If you’ve been reading for any length of time, you know I love our pool. We have the best time there all summer long and I am happy to volunteer to help with anything going on. Somehow I’ve volunteered to help with swim team, in addition to my membership duties. I just can’t say no when it comes to the pool! We had our first league swim team meeting this week. I’ve been able to extend a bunch of new membership offers this week. It is really getting me excited for the summer season! As of Friday morning, we have 78 days until the pool opens!!

That’s about all for the day! I am so excited for our weekend. We have a fun bull roast that I have named “the biggest winter party in town”. The boys have basketball and soccer games. I don’t have to set an alarm on Saturday morning – woohoo!! I hope you have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!!
