Hello Monday – 1/6/20

Happy Monday!! We had a super weekend but it was packed. I left the house on Saturday morning around 7:25 am, popped home for 10 minutes Sunday morning around 10:25, and then got home at 5 pm Sunday evening.

Luke had a basketball game on Saturday morning and then my parents picked us up to go to Virginia Beach (about 4.5 hours away) for my aunts’ birthday party. Luke was so excited to go through the tunnel and lounge on the king sized bed in our hotel.

It felt like the afternoon and evening went so fast, but I had the best time with my cousins, aunts, and uncle. It was a late night but so worth it! 11:00 was a little late for this party animal!

The late night made our early departure come just a little sooner. I wanted to be home to take Jack to his swim meet on Sunday and Luke had futsol. We made it home in under 4.5 hours – way to go Dad!! Great driving!

I popped in the house to grab Jack and we were off again. He had a great swim meet again! I am so proud of him! I’m also loving my new snow sneakers!

After we got home, I hopped on the treadmill to run 11 minutes because Sunday is Day 1100 in my run streak!! I also picked out a new watch band for myself – clementine. I love the color so much!

We finished the night with a rousing game of Spy Alley. Jack got it for Christmas and it is so fun!

I am looking forward to getting back to a routine (I can’t believe I am actually saying that) with our first full week of school, but I won’t be sad if we have a few 2 hour delays in the next month or two. I am also looking forward to getting back to some more regular posting here. I have some fun things to share from our winter break, some new books, and a new recipe or two.

Have a great week full of sunshine and books!!

Linking up with Tanya and the girls for Hello Monday.

What a fun and busy weekend. The first time we drove through the Chesapeake bay bridge/ tunnel my husband hit the windshield washer fluid as soon as we entered the first tunnel and yelled “oh no the tunnel is leaking!” He completely freaked out my oldest son for a minute.
