Happy Friday! This is my last Friday of summer and my last full pool day of summer. And this is the forecast:

Even though that forecast is not a favorite, I am sharing some favorites from the week.

Favorite 1: BEACH!! No one is surprised here, I love everything there is to love about the beach. This year our vacations and schedules were a little bit different and we only spent 9 days on the beach. I get it, that is a lot of beach days for most people. But I don’t work in the summer, we live pretty close to the beach, and the beach makes all 4 of us a bit happier. We had the best time on those 9 days! The kids played with friends in the water and the sand. We had delicious, beachy dinners and lovely, flat runs. You can check out our beach fun, rainy days, new adventures, and one last trip. Luckily Luke’s soccer team is doing a tournament at the beach in October. Jack’s team played in the same tournament two years ago and we had the most perfect weather. I am hoping that we can squeeze another beach day or two out of that tournament to at least get to double digit beach days in 2019. The beach is always my favorite!!

Favorite 2: GOLF!! Jack has been all about the golf this summer! The golf course that runs the after school golf program at our school created a membership program for families of any kids that did after school golf. We jumped on it and have been out there a bunch. We’ve played nine holes and stayed for dinner almost once a week, the kids were in golf camp, and Jack played in his first junior league. He had the best time!! Thursday night was the last outing for this session. My dad joined Jeff and Jack for the round and was there to see this!

Jack won his flight in the league!! He was the youngest kid in the league by a few years, but that didn’t intimidate him at all. He loved every minute of it! We start after school golf in September, but I have a feeling that we will be on the course before that. If you are local, I highly recommend taking your kids out to Challedon if they have any interest in golf. Their junior golf program is AMAZING!! They are so good to the kids and teach them so much! Our whole family loves spending an evening there!

Favorite 3: BOOKS!! I have been reading a bunch this summer and I am loving all this reading time. I was up way to late because I am loving Nancy Thayer’s Surfside Sisters. I only went to bed because my kindle died. Our final meeting of the Freedom Swim Club book club is Tuesday and we are reading Surfside Sisters. This book has me really wanting to visit Nantucket. Between Nancy and Elin Hilderbrand, I feel like I could lead my own tour of Nantucket. I just need to go! Check out my latest reviews!

I picked these up for my guys to keep their brains working in August. They are loving these activity books! I picked them up after Andrea recommended them and saved them for August. They are perfect for keeping their brains thinking about learning, while not being to school-ish.

Favorite 4: SUGAR RUSH! Luke has always loved to help me in the kitchen and he stumbled upon this baking show on Netflix. It has been so fun to watch with him. It’s all desserts and most things looks super tasty! I wasn’t so sure about the ginger wasabi cupcakes we saw on an episode last night. I picked up a few fun baking ingredients for us to use one evening in Sugar Rush fashion.

Favorite 5: JEWELRY!! I love a monogram on everything – bags, jewelry, phone cases, planners, notebooks, you name it and I can monogram it! I found Cora’s Den on Etsy and I love her monogram work. This necklace is a definite favorite! I have been looking through her hundreds of monogram necklaces trying to pick out my next one.

Luke and I are off to his orthodontist appointment to find out how many more times we need to turn that expander. If you need me, I’ll be at the pool today soaking up the sunshine clouds. Luke has a soccer tournament this weekend and the forecast is amazing! It actually says beautiful. Do you think anyone would mind if I wore a bathing suit and broke out a lounge chair? 😎 I’m pretty sure Kourtni, Jodi, and Erin would join me since we’ll all be cheering on our boys for over 8 hours!

This is also my last Summer Sarah post of the year. Back to work Monday means I need to get everything done the night before since I have to be at work by 7:15. Don’t worry, she’ll be back next summer!! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!!
