Hello Monday – 6/3/19

Happy Monday and hello June!! I am so happy that it is June!! I’m pretending that the craziness of May will disappear now that it is June. I don’t really think it will happen because the last 12 days of school are usually pretty busy, but it’s worth hoping!

We had a great weekend! Jeff and I were off on Friday. I needed to run five miles for my Day 900 9 mile training. I ran on the treadmill and felt great. I made the decision that while I am working up to 9 miles that I am not worrying about speed or walking a little bit. I am listening to my body and what feels good. The goal is to run 9 miles on 6/19 for Day 900 and feel good.
We spent some time at the pool. We were just grownups reading our books at the pool for a few hours. Then we had to pick up the kids from school, brought them back to the pool, and resumed our roles of Mom and Dad.

My school had a retirement party for our 5 fabulous retirees. It was so beautiful outside and I took advantage of the weather. I’ve been waiting for a great opportunity to wear this dress. I love it! It is from the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum resort line. It is the perfect length for a 5’4.5″ girl like me.

Luke had a baseball game on Saturday and I wore another great find. Shady Rays has smaller framed lenses and I finally found a pair of sunglasses that I can wear with a hat. I do wish they were a little longer at the bottom and shorter at the top, but I finally found a pair of glasses I can wear with a hat.

On Sunday, Luke and I headed to the pool for a little bit and then went to Jack’s baseball games.

Jack had a double header. Luke and his buddy came prepared with all the sports equipment. They even played lacrosse on the baseball field. 😂 Jack’s team played well and they had a great rally in the 6th inning, but it wasn’t quite enough to win.

Oh! And on Sunday our new babies started to hatch!! This will be our last round of babies on the porch for the year, but they are so cute! I love watching them grow!

That’s it for the weekend! All four Parsons did a bunch of reading this weekend! We have 3 baseball games, 5 swim team practices, 2 bookstore events, and hopefully a whole lot of sunshine this week! I hope you have a great week full of sunshine and books!
