Hello Monday – 5/13/19

Happy Monday! We had a great Mother’s Day weekend and I am linking up with Heather, Lindsay, Tanya, and Johannah to share our fun.

We went to the Orioles game on Friday evening. This is one of my favorite walks. Everyone is always so excited as we walk from our parking lot to the stadium. They played the Angels and Jack was super excited to see Mike Trout again this year. Mike didn’t let us down and hit a 2-run homer that had Jack grinning from ear to ear! Luke had a bunch of buddies at the game and had so much fun with them. We left when there was a rain delay and the O’s didn’t win but we had a great time at our first regular season Orioles game of the year.

On Saturday morning, Jamie and Kerry came over to do our Fierce virtual run with Fellow Flowers. Jamie and I have done all seven runs together and I love that we always make time to run it together. The girls stayed for breakfast and we had such a good time catching up. I’m learning that I may need to be more creative to find times to hang out with my girlfriends. It doesn’t always have to be a night out. 😊 The Fierce flower talks about being worthy. I decided to run my mile before our run so that I could really enjoy our time and be in the moment, rather than worry about making sure I got my full mile run in. These girls make me so happy and I love spending time with them! Each run comes with a medal and a charm. I try to purchase the tank or shirt that go with the run because I love the message and Fellow Flowers always picks the comfiest tops.

My seven charms – 1 from each runAfter the girls left, we hustled to Jack’s double header. He was supposed to play on Sunday but it was forecasted to rain all day so they moved it to Saturday. In between the games, one of the coaches gave the boys flowers to give their moms for Mother’s Day. It was very sweet! There was an airshow nearby so Luke was thrilled to watch all the planes and parachutists while Jack was playing. I’m so proud of my favorite number 27! He did a great job!

On Sunday morning, we woke up to all of that forecasted rain. We headed to Jeff’s parents for a delicious Mother’s Day brunch. It was good to see everyone and celebrate all the moms. Then we headed home to host my parents. We had crabs – our typical Mother’s Day tradition and they were delicious. It was way too cold to eat outside so we ate in the dining room. This was the first year that the boys sat down and tried to pick and eat crabs. I was so proud of them! My parents did a great job teaching them how to pick crabs.

We took our annual Mother’s Day pictures and I love them!

After crabs we put the kiddos to bed and got ready for the week. Our week isn’t as busy as they have been and I’m looking forward to it. I hope to see the sunshine and some warmer weather!!

Also, I told you I loved those Canyon sandals from Circus by Sam Edelman. Well, I love them so much I kept two pairs of pink shades. They are super comfy and cute and I am pretty sure I will wear them a ton this spring, summer, and fall. The other pink ones…

Have a great week full of sunshine and books!
