Happy Monday! I am linking up with Heather, Tanya, Lindsay, and Johannah today to say Hello Monday!!
I got to put my toes in the sand this weekend!! The water was freezing and it was pretty windy, but I got my toes in the sand!
Jeff left for a conference on Friday morning. He had a pretty great Friday and Saturday, learning, making good contacts, and spending some time on the beach.
On Friday evening, nine teams from my school participated in the Battle of the Books. The teams compete against teams from our four closest elementary schools. There were almost 40 teams this year. The participants study 10 books over the course of six months to be ready to answer 40 specific questions about the books. The answer to each question is the title and author of the book. The kids worked so hard and I was so excited when our school won first and second place.
On Saturday morning, we slept in and hung around the house. Jack, Luke, and I stayed in our pjs until 11 o’clock. I got a bunch done around the house – laundry, organizing, purging, and dishes. Luke worked on one of his birthday lego sets. He worked on it all week and was so proud of his finished project!
After swim team practice, my mom came over, I finished packing, and hit the road. I love this bag from Stella & Dot. It was perfect for an overnight.
I was headed to the beach to join Jeff for the night.
We headed back to the hotel to get ready for the dinner that night. Jeff won the Athletic Director of the year for his district this year. I am so proud of him! He works a lot of long days and I think he does a great job! Apparently, the other athletic directors in his district agree with me. ❤️
After the run, we headed home to make it to Jack’s double header. He did a great job and went 1-1. Jack’s team is really coming together and it’s fun to watch.
We are heading into a fun, but busy week. Luke has baseball games on Monday and Tuesday. Jack has a baseball game on Thursday. Luke has soccer tryouts on Thursday. My sister is coming into town late Friday night! Luke is making his first communion on Sunday and we are hosting a party afterwards. I keep calling this busy schedule living the dream. It really is because I love all that we are doing!!
Have a great week full of sunshine and books!
