Hello Monday – 3/4/19

Happy Monday! I am starting to feel a little like a broken record. It snowed again on Sunday. Just a little with some sleet and freezing rain, but enough to keep us indoors and cover the grass. It’s supposed to keep on through most of the night, too. So as I head to bed on Sunday night, I’m wondering if we’ll have a regular school day, a two hour delay, or no school.
I am linking up with Heather, Lindsay, Johannah, and Tanya to share our weekend and say Hello Monday!

On Friday, the boys have swim team until 6:00. It is perfect for us. They swim hard for an hour (Luke) or 90 minutes (Jack) and then play in the warm therapy pool for a bit. After they got showered and changed, we headed home and watched Daddy Day Care while eating takeout. After swim practice, Jack and Luke are tired enough to hang on the couch but not so tired that they are a mess. It is the perfect way to end the week.

On Saturday morning, we were up and moving. We headed to the gym for a class and some basketball. Jack and his buddies played a little racquetball for the first time and he loved it.

Jeff had to go to work for a bit and Jack went with him. Luke and I hung out at the house until it was time for his soccer game. He plays about 35 minutes away and my little buddy was out cold on the way.
He woke up and played a great game! It was fun to watch him do his thing on the soccer field. Luke loves to play soccer and be on the field with his friends!

After soccer, I dashed over to Old Navy to pick up a blazer I’d seen online. I’ve never owned a blazer and this one seemed so cute. It’s like a new version of my beloved cardigans. 😊 Luckily I found a couple of cute tops that will carry me into spring and summer if it ever stops snowing!

Jack’s basketball team had a playoff game that afternoon. They’ve played this team three times already this season. This was the closest game yet. It went to overtime and they lost. It was sad, but I was so proud of Jack, Jeff, and the team. They played their hearts out and played so well!!

On Saturday evening I learned two things. Number 1 – I am a girl who loves a bull roast!! I had always suspected but it was confirmed on Saturday night. Number 2 – Somehow Jeff and I have been living here for five years and we were missing the biggest winter party in Eldersburg. The baseball bull roast is a guaranteed good time! We have already decided that we are going back next year, and the year after that, and on and on. It was so much fun!!

On Sunday morning, Jack and I headed back to the gym for a while. I took a barre class and he played basketball. Then it was back to the racquetball court for him. He had so much fun! I still needed to run at least a mile so I took Jack upstairs to the treadmills. We ran together. He’s run a little bit on our treadmill and he did so well! I am so proud of him!

Luke had his basketball game on Sunday afternoon and then we headed home for the evening.

We are getting ready to head to Florida next week so I had the boys try on bathing suits and we found this hat tucked away in the bathing suit bin. I just couldn’t pass it on when Luke got a little bigger. How cute is this little boy (and that hat!)?

After I got everyone to bed and all of our things ready for school on Monday, I sat down to watch Crazy Rich Asians. I loved all three of the books and the movie was fabulous!!!

We have a regular week planned – religious ed, swim team, basketball, baseball, and all the other fun adde din. I am hoping that it is filled with sunshine (please 🙏🏼 please) and books! Have a super week!

We have so much snow here too, it is crazy. It just keeps coming. I am ready for spring. I love that blazer. I hope you have a great week ahead! I love good, normal weeks that aren’t over packed with things! Enjoy!

SO much physical activity! That is fantastic!! We woke to tons of snow and all the local schools are closed since most of the roads weren’t even plowed and they had more than a foot of snow on them. It was crazy! Our first big/real snowstorm of the winter when the calendar is claiming it’s almost spring.
