This was such a fun weekend! I celebrated my birthday – 38! – and we celebrated all weekend long!
On Friday night, we joined the Chairs and the Laughmans on the CPP (Chairs Party Patio) for a fun happy hour(s). The neighbors, the Barcikowskis, even joined us! I love these people and their kiddos big! We were missing some friends but this fall season is so busy!

I picked up a new fall wreath on our Saturday morning errands.
On Saturday morning, we stayed cozy for a little bit and then hopped up to get our day started. Jeff had to cut the grass with all the rain we’ve had so I grabbed both boys and headed to the music store. Jack is starting instrumental music and is playing the trumpet. Bring on the earplugs! He is SOOOOOOOO EXCITED and I am excited for him.

My trumpet player! 😍
My sister Annie sent him the “You Can Call Me Al” video and he already has Chevy Chase’s rhythm and dance moves down. I’m loving it!
Luke had a soccer game on Saturday afternoon and he was awesome! He had a fast break to score the game winning goal but the keeper made an amazing save! I am so proud of our little soccer player!
After soccer we headed to Black Ankle Vineyards. I went for the second time in August and “accidentally” joined the wine club. I am super glad I did. The wine club has some great perks and we had a great time! There is a wide open field with a soccer goal and some rocks for the kids to play, beautiful scenery, and comfy chairs/tables for the grown ups. My parents joined us and we had an early birthday celebration.
On Sunday, we woke up to tons of rain. How does the girl who loves summer the most have a cold and rainy birthday??? Jack’s baseball scrimmage was cancelled so we had no plans. Jeff and I invited both of our parents and Jeff’s grandmother over for dinner.
I managed to get out for a 4+ mile run in between the rain showers. Sunday was the first day of my official Zooma Florida training! I am so super excited about that! The boys don’t know it yet but we are headed to visit my sister next month and I am going to do the Zooma Florida seaside challenge (5k Friday, 12k Saturday) in Amelia Island. My mom and I are taking the boys on a little Florida adventure with one of my bucket list runs. I am hoping to take them to TPC Sawgrass because my little golfers will think that is pretty incredible!
I also almost finished Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I will officially review it later this week, but you should read this book! I am loving it! Hooray for a rainy day!!
Jeff and I made a delicious London Broil dinner complete with some Black Ankle wine from the wine club for my birthday dinner on Sunday, but, blogger fail, I took zero pictures. It was just a great night!
We are headed into our first 5 day week of school so send all the positive thoughts our way! I am hoping to finish my book and start Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine this week.
I hope you have a great week full of sunshine and books!!
I’m linking up with the Hello Monday girls today.
